Military Families

Whether its support personnel or parents, Autism Services North is excited to be working so closely with the military community.  We are experts at locating ABA Therapists around the country and can be the extra boost you may need in getting ABA Therapy services set up for your child.
If you are having trouble locating an approved ABA provider, please give us a call and let us go to work for you.

Steps to take to start the ABA Therapy process:

1. Because your child has an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis you qualify for the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP). You are required to sign up for this program in order to receive services – more information on how to do this is at the bottom of the page.

2. Obtain a prescription from your doctor for ABA Therapy.

3. Fax the prescription to your Insurance Case Manager.

4. As always, don’t hesitate to contact us if you have further questions – lisa@autismservicesnorth.com

Below is more information on the EFPM program and how to sign up. When you’re on the HealthNet web site, make sure to plug in “EFMP” into the ‘search’ box.
Send me away to the Health Net Federal Services website for the full explanation of EFMP

Below is a list of web sites that address the military and Autism.

Morton Gernsbacher, parent of an autistic child, says:

” … research demonstrates that autistic traits are distributed into the non-autistic population; some people have more of them, some have fewer. History suggests that many individuals whom we would today diagnose as autistic - some severely so - contributed profoundly to our art, our math, our science, and our literature.“
